As the holiday season rolls around, so do the parties! No matter what your style is, you can look good without being cold. Something that is totally in is tutus or tulle skirts. You can add a turtle neck or sweater as well as fun tights and boots to look great and stay warm. This look can be super girly and flirty as well as edgy at the same time! If you pair your skirt with a turtle neck, add a big necklace to complete this fun look! When picking out a tutu/skirt don’t be afraid of color!
 
            Another super cute (and cozy!) party trend is to put an oversized and open sweater or cardigan over your outfit. The casual sweater can tone down pieces like sequin shorts and dresses to make the look work for any occasion! Now you can wear more dressed up pieces to family gatherings. Also, a different sweater look for parties is a loose fitting cropped sweater over a fitted skirt or shorts with tights. Mix and match patterns for the fullest affect.
 
            Flirtier, fun trends include animal prints and color blocking! These make for great party dresses. If you are wearing a busy animal print dress, you can add solid tights and shoes so you don’t over do it. And for color blocking, you can stick to the same rules and stay close to more subtle accessories. Sometimes you have to let the dress do the talking!
 
            If you love to accessorize, these ideas may be for you! If you wear a plain black, white, or any more reserved color lace dress, you can play it up with fun shoes, accessories, and beauty looks. When you start with a plain dress add colorful details! You can take this look in any direction. It can be fun, flirty, edgy, girly, vintage, or whatever you decide! Another good base for any party outfit is a black (or pretty much any other color) sequin dress or shorts. If you are wearing sequin shorts and want to play up accessories, pair it with the same color shirt and tights. A sequin dress is cute and at the same time not too much. It is also a great thing to wear when playing with textures! A sequin or lace dress can be worn over and over again to parties with different accessories and you will never repeat a look!
 
            If you are (like me) the type of person who prefers to wear jeans or pants to parties but doesn’t want to be too underdressed, they you can add a sparkly top to instantly take your outfit to another level! Just add nicer accessories and shoes and you can be comfortable and look cute at all the parties! Lace and color blocking tops (like above) are great for party tops as well-just pair them with some cute pants and a flirty hairstyle! Add bold accessories and you will be ready for any event!
           
            Pairing ankle boots or booties with solid color knit legwarmers are an awesome party trend- totally in! You can bunch them down and put them over tights! They will help you stay warm and can look super hot! Wearing knee length boots can complete the same idea with thinner knee length socks. Just pull them up all the way and let them stick out of your boots. Another fun way to stay warm is to add a faux fur vest over your dress for a trendy look! Look for fingerless gloves to add to your outfit! You can add your own pins and broaches to the outside to give them your own feel! That is a right off of the runway look!
