So Not: Celebrity worship, animal cruelty, sweat shops & consumerism

Celebrity Worship
Wannabe celebrities are so out. What's the deal with wanting to be famous - that's it, just famous, with no clue about what it is that you will do that will make you famous. Seriously flawed thinking, BB thinks! Fame is not a guarantee of happiness - think Britney, Lindsay, Paris, with all the fame in the world + suicide attempts, drugs, rehab and failed relationships. Let's start getting real and believing in ourselves. Worship yourself, your goals and achievements.

Animal Cruelty
Those who hurt, torture or offend the rights of animals in anyway are so, and I mean so NOT hot. Whilst organisations including WSPA (World Society for the Protection of Animals) are doing their bit to create and fund campaigns to stop acts of violence toward animals in the world on a regular basis, it is really up to us to do our part. If you suspect, see or hear violence against animals of any sort (ok maybe not treading on ants) speak up!

Sweat Shops
You walk through your local shopping mall and see all the nice things that there are to buy. But do you stop and think about where your products were made? The aisles in your local shopping mall are lined with products that were made through sweat shops. From the toys we play with to the shoes we wear, so many products are made with the use of illegal and immoral methods of work. These sweatshops exploit child labor, or hardly pay their workers enough money to cover the cost of food for their family. Take a stand against known sweat shop offenders by taking more note of where products are made and ban those that have little disregard for basic human rights.

Consumerism
Do you define yourself with what car you drive? What bag you have? Do you not feel so good about yourself when you're not wearing a certain pair of shoes? Over consumption is ugly. Who cares what you own, how many pairs of shoes you have or what labels you are wearing - these things do not make you happy! It's time to understand the difference between having and living! Not only is greed not good for the soul, it's bad for the environment. The more we consume the more waste we create. Start thinking about what you buy and whether you really need it. Once you stop becoming consumed with consuming, you will see just how easy and more fulfilling it is.
