Celebrity Access: Sterling Knight

Starstruck , new to Disney Channel, is about Hollywood popstar, Christopher Wilde. Starring Sterling Knight of ?Sonny With a Chance? fame. BB gets all exclusive with Sterling in this Q&A

BB: Has working on this movie changed your life or point of view about anything?
I definitely have a newfound respect for recording artists. It's really hard.

BB: In both ?Sonny With A Chance? and ?StarStruck,? your character is a star. Are you closer to the star of ?McKenzie Falls? or of ?StarStruck??
?StarStruck?? definitely.

BB: How you would describe the similarities and differences between you and your character in ?StarStruck??
I can relate on a small scale to Christopher's ability to put his personal interests aside for the benefit of his fans. I viewed Chris as a genuinely good person that just happens to lead this ridiculous lifestyle. Clearly I don't lead such an extravagant life, but I do try to be a hard working and caring individual on a daily basis.

BB: What are the differences between acting in a series and a movie?
A movie used to take a lot more time and the whole process is a little slower. You kind of get to explore the characters and the scenes a little bit more. With TV shows, I have a consistent schedule and the hours are a lot better. They're both very different. I like them both.

BB: Where would you love to travel to?
I?d really love to go to Italy!

BB: How does it feel to be in your first leading role in a movie?
It?s great. I enjoyed it a lot. And it was definitely an eye-opening experience. It gave me a lot more respect for other people that have found themselves in that situation.

BB: What advice would you give to a young teenage boy or girl that would like to have a career in movies like you?
Just stick with it. It's a really long, arduous process. You have to maintain a high level of confidence and be true to who you are.

BB: What do you think are the most important qualities to have for someone who wants to be a star?
A really strong work ethic and a lot of respect for everyone , as they?re a lot of integral parts that go into making a movie or a television show. You have to respect the fact that every job is just as important as the next, even if you're not on camera.
