Centre Stage - Turn It Up
Oh K, if sizzling dance moves, awesome tunes and hot film stars is your deal you'll love Centre Stage Turn it Up. As a sequel from previous hit Centre Stage, this film depicts the inspiring yet discouraging world of wannabe dancers.

Self-taught dancer Kate Parker has her heart set on the American Academy of Ballet, but when she doesn't make it after auditioning; she learns that it takes more than a big dream to make the cut. Kate finds chance, help and love in Tommy, a rich former hockey player turned dancer who helps her raise the stakes.

Although quite predictable, this is a feel good movie with a lot to offer. I strongly suggest you see it this summer.

Newcastle
This movie is bound to do big things this summer. Set in the heart of NSW's coastal town Newcastle, this film depicts the reality of desperate teen and amateur surfer Jesse. Jesse, while seemingly chasing his brothers dream, is captured by the reality of being a teen from a low socio-economic background, fighting to keep his hopes of becoming a pro-surfer alive.

After bombing out in an important surf trial Jesse, along with mates Andy, Scotty, Nathan, Deb, Leah and awkward brother Fergus, head out on a camping expedition at nearby and picturesque Stockton Beach. There, along with intermingling relationships, heated arguments and of course surfing, events start to turn for the worse.

Newcastle is a topical teen movie which uncovers the harsh reality of teen life. Whilst raw in nature, director Dan Castle connects the audience with the cast as we are washed away into the life of surf culture in Australia, sheltered towns and family redemption.
