Summer is the perfect season to adapt the a la natural look! Shiny hair, glowing skin and mood that is positively sunshiney - how can you not be a total summer babe?
Here's how to let your natural beauty shine through:
1. Foundation

This foundation didn't cake onto my face which I really liked. It worked
wonders with my complexion and was even surprised to notice how natural
it looked. I felt very fresh once it was applied to my face and I am looking
forward to using it again. I recommend it to anyone.
Tip:
- Before you apply foundation, be sure to dab a long-lasting and effective primer evenly on your face, after you moisturise. A primer will act as a barrier between your skin and your foundation, preventing your pores from becoming clogged. A primer will also allow your makeup to stay fresh and longer lasting.
2. Blush

This is another summer must, it is tiny like a lip gloss and perfect to
fit in your bag for the beach or a big night. It is an extremely light
cream that can be applied to cheeks lips or lids. It highlights our best
features leaving them looking pretty and rosy!
Tip:
- Applying blush of any sort is a technique to be mastered. Best way to apply blush is by sporting a huge smile and gently running the brush outward along your cheekbone.
- A great alternative to pure blush, as this product suggests, is a facial illuminiser. This is a colour disk that can be applied anywhere on the face to promote extra shine.
3. Mascara

The Australis Lash Me Mousse Mascara is the ideal mascara for natural
looking makeup. The fine bristles on the application brush ensure a consistent
and rich layer of product after each use. The mascara is long lasting
and easily removed. This is essential for an everyday makeup kit.
Tip:
- Start the applicator at the bottom of your lashes and run through to the tip. Be sure to jostle the applicator mid lash to create a lengthier illusion.
- When you have finished using your mascara, twist the brush as you close locking in any passing air. This will keep your product fresh and will avoid it from drying out.
4. Lip Gloss

While it is quite sticky, it is long lasting and will allow you to cut
down on those "Oh My, Re- Apply" moments.
Tip:
- Line your lips with a neutral liner. (This should almost seem un-noticeable) Then use a soft or dusk pink colour to highlight your already fabulous pout for this summer.
- Can't find that one in a million colour that you wanted to match your rocking outfit? Use a loose dust eye shadow with a clear gloss. Simply layer on coat of lipgloss then dab loose dust to your lips and apply another coat of gloss over the top - too easy.
5. Bronzer

There is nothing hotter then having a nice bronze tan in the middle of
summer, but baking yourself for hours is deffs not the way to achieve
this. Designer brands has introduced a shimmering mineral bronzer to their
range to cater for all our summer needs. This bronzer is just the right
natural-looking colour. You use the brush that comes with it to apply
the bronzer, and then highlight those cheekbones a little more & your
done. EASY ASH! The key is to apply it evenly, as there is nothing worse
then bad fake tan or bronzer! This shimmering mineral bronzer gives the
hint of summer that every girl is searching for without having to fry
yourself in the sun for hours.
Tip:
- Suck your cheeks in until you have the cheeky and oh so adorable fish face. Where your dimples lie, softly apply bronzer, sweeping it toward the edge of your face and under the blush line. Use light strokes to blend.
- Apply dust bronzer to the upper eyelid and ever so lightly on your nose. This will create the illusion of height on your face as well as a symmetrical look. Do not apply all over.
