Sky Nellor: Successful Australian model turned DJ to the stars busts her tunes for the hottest celebs, including mates P.Diddy and Fergie, and has now added becoming the new face of the much-loved Napoleon Perdis Auto Pilot makeup range to her list of achievements! Kate at BB gets the low down on Sky's busy and glamorous life.

Congratulations on your new role as the face behind the Auto Pilot range as it marks its 5th birthday! How did this opportunity come about for you?

Thank you! The opportunity literally came in an email. A fellow Aussie introduced me to Napoleon and then he expressed his interest in using me in his campaign. Next lever honour and shocker.. I was beyond excited!!!

What does your new role entail?

Ha, well answering questions like these and getting to play with lots of Napoleon's fabulous cosmetics. No girl, or boy, who loves make-up could ask for more!!!

You have had quite an amazing career, to say the least. You are a model turned DJ. That's quite a leap, how did you make the transformation?

On a dare, I just jumped in the DJ booth, had a 5 minute lesson, and DJ Sky Nellor I became!

Was being a DJ something you always wanted to do?

I have always loved music since I was very little. I was always wanting to be in charge of what I was hearing at all times.. Whether it be on-set at a photo shoot or out at dinner... I wanted to control the music. So even though the thought of actually dj-ing for a living never crossed my mind till a friend dared me.. I was kinda always the music programmer wherever I went, so I truly lucked out!!

I have read that you still identify yourself as 100% Australian, which is great to hear, how's the Aussie accent holding up?

Well, speaking to my mum and brother daily helps, just like spending a day on-set with Napoleon.. All the Aussie in me leaks out. A few cocktails will do the trick too - I start to sound like one of the locals at any Sydney pub.

You have been crowned in a social respect as the DJ to the stars, having played at some of the most profound A-list parties! What celeb events stand out to you?

Any party I have done with Diddy, Kanye West, Outkast, Fergie and The Black Eyed Peas... They are on a whole other level when it comes to entertaining and making a party or event memorable.

How did this title evolve?

Well in the world of DJ's I guess being a girl I stood out. And having a celebrity clientele didn't hurt either! And so like DJ AM and Mark Ronson, I was crowned a "dj to the stars"... But, at the end of the day I am just a girl that plays music in hopes of making whoever is listening, A-lister or not, enjoy themselves as I much as I do. Just the title "female DJ" is good enough for me!!

Are these parties as wild as they are portrayed?

Ha...they can be.A Diddy party is always gonna have its wild moments. But it's the "after-parties" that are truly outrageous... because anyone that's still up at 4am has to be somewhat intoxicated or crazy!

When you are up on the platform busting out tunes for these events, what thoughts go through your mind?

What's next??.. What's going to keep the energy up and take everyone to the next level and keep the crowd jumping around on the dance floor?? Or, if it's the end of the night, what song is going to let everyone know without yelling... "Its time to go home kids!!

Wow, where do I start.. I mean he's a genius!!! A make-up god, with truly fantastic products! Napoleon has a fun, warm and truly glamorous personality... I could hang out with him everyday and never be bored!

Oh, I can't function without Napoleon's Auto Pilot Skin Primer and Lip Service. Gloss patrol in every color is always on hand! And his Gardenia Glam Shimmer Body Lotion is heavenly!!!

Bellaboo is all about promoting self acceptance and positive thinking, what advice would you give to young girls who are trying to pursue their dreams?

Firstly be honest, positive and hard working! And dream your heart out!!!! I honestly believe what comes around goes around, so just do your personal best and not anyone elses. At the end of the day it's so important to love the person you are, so others can love you back!
