Teen Beauty 101: Glow when you snow patrol
Time to hit the slopes and any self-respecting snow bunny wants to glow when she snow patrols! So, here’s how you can be sizzling when it’s snowing
- The sun reflects big time off snow and ice so your number one priority is some serious sun protection. Apply and reapply every 4 hours to make sure you don’t end up more boiled bunny than snow bunny!
- Max the moisture. Extremes in temperature can play havoc with your skin so make sure you use a balancing moisturiser on your face day and night. - Your lips can get dry and chapped when exposed to that cold, bitter wind. You want your pout to be kissable so look after it. Use a lip balm to prevent lips from chapping and if you have chapped, dry lips opt for a moisturising lip treat with emollients such as shea butter to remoisturise.
- Ditch the fake tan – your fave summer shade will just make you glow in all the wrong ways against that stark white snow! Opt for a foundation close to your natural tones.
- White looks so right! Go for shades of white which will look so effortlessly fash-sav – white nail polish, white shadow as a subtle highlighter.
- Treat your feet! It’s not all about appearance. You can only glow if you are feeling in peak condition. Feet that have been confined to snow boots all day maneuvering slopes can bear the brunt of your skiing action. Treat them right with some feet treats to get those tootsies into top shape so they can enjoy some après action!
- There’s no point in spending too much time on styling hair that is going to get hammered by the arctic conditions of wind and snow. Your best bet - make sure it’s in peak condition by giving it some intense treatment to ensure its glossy and gorgeous.
