Cool Stuff: Foghorn 'Design it and Wear it'

Are you sick of your ordinary underwear that sits in your drawers? Want to be unique, wearing fresh and funky new designs?

Well, check out www.foghorn.com.au, an innovative T- shirt and underwear design website where you can put all your cheeky and creative concepts into print!

With the base design starting at $20 you can afford to create your own designs at your own price.

Bec chats to Jane Wing, the creator of the Foghorn website, to get the insight scoop about the concept and her motivation behind the brand.

how they came about the idea…
"Charlie and I have always felt that the T Shirts that we wear reflect who we are when we're relaxed and most ourselves. It didn't make sense to either of us, when people chose to express themselves, to slap someone else's surname across their backs. Foghorn was created and designed from day one, to showcase that everyone has a cheeky streak to give Aussie's the chance to display their creativity on the most unique of canvases."

who does Foghorn appeal to?
"At first, we thought that the customised clothing concept would mainly appeal to a younger audience, but we've been blown away by the diversity we've seen come through the site. Everyone from grandparents to goddaughters, fathers to flatmates, even brides and best friends have jumped online and designed their own T Shirts and undies! The response has been unbelievable."

what does the Foghorn site bring to its demographic?
More than anything - freedom of choice. We provide the canvas, fonts and symbols, but the rest is entirely up to you. Your masterpiece can portray a personal joke, reveal a romance or demonstrate to your friends just how far you can lodge your tongue in your cheek. On top of all of that - who doesn't love being able to design their own T Shirt in the privacy of their own home, while sitting around in their underwear and eating cereal - if that's not the absolute definition of freedom, we don't know what is!
