Because role models can inspire. They were once teens, going through all the same stuff you are going through right now and have come out at the end with amazing experiences, insights and stories to share.
Good role models can help us to see that even when things seem really tough, you can get through it.
Good role models show us how to make the most of situations. They can provide us with examples of ways to cope with adversity. They can guide us in how to reach our goals. They can inspire us with their stories of success and failure.
Role models come in all shapes, sizes, personalities, backgrounds - as do we all! The most important thing is to seek out good role models. That doesn't mean they have to be successful in their career, a celebrity or even someone who is perfect (whatever that means!). What they do have to be is someone who inspires through positive and beneficial actions.
Girls and women who have achieved, who have given back, who have helped others along their journey are the role models you will find in this space. Attending red carpet events, being photographed for social pages and simply being in the limelight a role model does not make, in our books!
So, boos enjoy the Role Model Registry space. It's been designed especially for all us whenever we need a little inspiration. Click on our role models, read their incredibly inspiring stories, their own views on role models and their tips on getting through the tough times!
If you think you have, or know someone who has, what it takes to join this formidable force of real girl role models then email us and tell us a little about yourself and why you think you'd make a good role model for teen girls.
Our aim is to fill this site with positive role
models so that girls can have easy access to role models worthy of
that title!! If you know someone who you think is worthy of joining our Wall of Women, let us know!
