Elsa Morgan
Name: Elsa Morgan
Age: 35
Occupation: Make up artist
A citizen of the world, moving frequently between her beloved Sydney and Paris, Elsa is a makeup artist in demand, working on Balenciaga, Dior, Pucci and Valentino, to name a few. She's just become a mum and that makes her even more excited about the future. A love of travelling, a passion for nature and creating beauty, are the motivating factors in her life.
Who was your role model/s when you were a teen?
My mum really inspired me. She's a passionate woman who taught me and
my sisters how to really live life to the full.
How did your role model/s help you?
Mum taught us yoga, how to only ever cook with love, and how to travel
in style!
What role or influence do you think role models have?
I think they can turn your life around by inspiring you, showing you your
true potential!!
What were some of the issues you faced as a teen?
I was always looking for direction. I had a lot of passion and creativity
but had no idea where I could channel it.
How do you overcome these issues?
I read a lot, asked a lot of questions and travelled as soon as I could.
What do you remember most about being a teen?
Being really shy and assuming everyone else had the answers but me! I
loved the sense of limitless opportunities, though, I really was excited
to see what was ahead. But there was a freedom to being young too that
I knew wouldn't last forever.
What qualities do you think you possess that have helped you
succeed in your chosen field?
I am diplomatic when needed, work even better in a team than on my own,
and I love creating beauty more than anything!
Outside of career success, what is it that you are most proud
of?
My son Jet and my ever-improving French (I hope!)
Your advice to youths about realising their own potential...
Never think you can't do it or that someone else will make it happen for
you. Hard work and a positive attitude will get you what you dream of.
Seriously, it's a tried and tested recipe.
When it comes to how you live your life, what are the most important
factors/values?
Staying relaxed with lots of yoga helps me feel balanced and happy (flexible
mind and body!) I try and foster lots of love in my life and a curiousity
and sense of adventure. But, more than anything I respect and cherish
everyone in my life - it's my top priority.
Why do you think you make a good role model?
I love nothing better than seeing my son, nieces and nephews grow and
realise how much they can do!! They're nothing more beautiful that seeing
someone become who they want to be.
