Local and Unsigned Bands are Worth Checking Out

I love music, bands, concerts, cds, anything revolving around music really. It’s something I’m really passionate about. One of my favorite parts of music is watching a band’s journey through their career. This is probably why I love local bands and/or unsigned bands. These bands work so hard to do what they love and it’s clear that they are in it because they love it and enjoy it, not for the fame or money. With these bands, it’s also clear to see the talent they possess which is why they are so unique.

One of my favorite local bands is Before You Exit from Orlando, Florida. The band is made up of eighteen year old Connor McDonough, sixteen year old Riley McDonough, eighteen year old Braiden Wood, and eighteen year old Thomas Silvers. These guys are majorly creative and prove so in their original songs and their Youtube cover videos. A few of their cover songs are mash-ups of two songs put together and the way they fit together is really ingenious.

My favorite cover by them so far is One Direction’s What Makes You Beautiful. Before You Exit, with the addition of Connor and Riley’s brother Toby, covered the song and added their own spin on it. The resulting video is absolutely amazing. Not only is the song amazing in it’s own right but the band plays all their own instruments for the video which takes it to a whole different level.
