Lil Rockers

Although it’s only Monday, I’m already looking forward to the weekend. My countdown has slowly been ticking away the days and I have waited impatiently for this to come for so many months. Wondering what I’m so excited about? I’M GOING TO REECE MASTIN’S CONCERT!!!

For those of you who don’t live in Australia, Reece Mastin is a seventeen year old who won the 2011 X-Factor Australia competition. Critics were predicting that the talented youngster had a high chance of taking out the top prize in the early stages of the show. Not only is he adorable, (stating the obvious, I know) he also has an amazing voice. Forget about Justin Bieber and One Direction, Reece is all about Rock and Roll! He sent hundreds into a fluster when he smooched a girl after singing Katy Perry’s ‘I Kissed a Girl’. (And like the song, it appeared Reece liked it too!) The country, mostly the teenage girls, have fallen in love with this cheeky rocker.

His debut single ‘Good Night’ sold over 30,000 copies in just 24 hours. His fans, dubbed ‘lil rockers’, have been filling arenas all throughout Australia since he started his tour last month.

This is going to be my first official concert that I have ever been to. Words cannot describe how excited I am! Coming along with me is one of my best friend's, Hayley. I'm so happy that she is coming with me as we both share the same stupidly obsessive fan girl love for Reece!

Two friends + weekend away + Reece Mastin concert + shopping = One of the best weekends ever!

It’s going to take a four hour road trip till I will be amongst hundreds of screaming lil rockers but it’s going to be worth it! I’m sure it won’t be long before Reece gains a strong following in the US and with some new songs set to be released soon, I’m super excited to see what’s going to happen next!
