Sydney: Blessed and Refreshed!

The Pope heads home at the end of the successful World Youth Day week in Sydney.
Leaving the city and the rest of Australia in seemingly good spirits, we couldnt help but notice the positive and enlightening spirit that Sydney has been graced with over the passed week.
BB HQ being centred only minutes from the CBD was exposed to patriotic pilgrims, singing, dancing and waving their flags along the busy streets making ALMOST everyone thankful for their time here!

Almost, being the highlighted factor and reason for my latest blog....
Obviously religion comes hand in hand with sceptics!- why wouldnt there be.. Religion excluded, democracy and freedom of speech is something our nation comes to proud on.

However in true style the protestors were out and about causing a ruchus. At BB we are all for self expression but we want to know; Is dressing up as the devil or even as the infamous Alien 'pope' and handing out condoms through spite, the way to shed light on your concerns... or is it simply the best way to make you the laughing stock of the entire nation?

While the pilgrims were not so so affected it was quite annoying to see them so negative amongst the hype of world youth day, relative or not!

So what were your thoughts?
From what you saw, were their methods of protesting offensive, hilarious or down right stupid?

I went to WYD on Friday during the school holidays. It was one of the best experiences I had here at home and I felt so warm and fuzzy. The atmosphere was unbelieveable, it was filled with joy and warmth. I even bought a shirt as a sourvenir of this day. I'm glad that we some of us Sydneysiders got to see this great gathering.
