As you all know, we have just recruited a new Bellaboo Crew member to our Crew. Christy-Lee got her first hit of Bellaboo Crew member reality at a photo shoot for the website about a month ago.
We were each given two looks – one more casual for our group shots and one that was more dressy and capturing each of the Crew’s personality (these were awesome outfits, complete shoes and accessories!).
Some of the dresses were a tad short or had gaps in inappropriate places so some adjustments of undergarments were needed (how the models who originally wore these garments got away with showing their naughty bits is beyond me! Hopefully they were wearing undies).
There was also a shot of the Crew in jeans or shorts and our new Bellaboo Crew tops – which are soooo cool. You can buy one on the site for $19.99!
We also had some shots taken of each of us demonstrating how to use the Bellaboo products, and with the brains of Bellaboo (the creator of the brand) Snezna Kerekovic She stood in the middle of us all; making her self esteem about her petite height at an all time low!
We also had to do some filming, my wasn’t this Australia’s Next Top Model all over! We had to do an interview, where Yvette Duncan (former MTV V.J) asked us all about our experience as a part of the Bellaboo Crew, and for the newest member, Christy-Lee, she was asked how she felt to have won the competition and what she expected to come.
For some of the original Crew members, we had to talk on film about particular Bellaboo products and why we loved them so much, as well as give a hands-on demonstration on how to apply the products and tips and tricks with using them.
During the lunch break, I took Christy-Lee to get some lunch for all the crew and the photographers and sound crew who were helping with the whole shoot. Little did we know that the café we were expected to get food from was literally a 5min walk away, so we traveled to a main road, blabbing on and getting to know each other, and complaining about the distance (taking 20 mins each way) to get muffins. By the time we got back everyone had their photos taken and we looked like we had just climbed Ayers Rock.
The day was awesome – we felt like super-glamours but, have to say ,that modeling is definitely not a gig any of us are likely to take up any time soon.
a) ‘cos we seriously can not be serious. This meant a gazillion attempts at getting shots where we all looked normal. And guess what? Out of that gazillion there are like two shots where each of us are looking to camera and smiling normally as opposed to hundreds of shots of us with our mouths wide open laughing our heads off or pulling faces.
b) While it’s fun to dress up in fancy clothes and get your makeup done, smiling into a camera for hours on end as is about as entertaining as watching …well, paint dry. We totally were over smiling to camera at the end of the 6 hour shoot!
Since the photoshoot, Christy-Lee has been involved in all the new material for the upcoming January issue of bellaboobabe.com - she has seen a movie, reviewed some CD’s, trialed designer make-up and strutted her stuff in some more fashion shoots.
Look out for all the new things on the site, and for more on the new Crew member!
