2012 Goals
After trying to think of a topic for today's blog post, I finally decided to write about my goals for 2012. I believe that you can set yourself goals at any time of the year, not just January. And hey, goals can be pretty hard to stick to, so sometimes you have to set several throughout the year! As 2011 came to an end, I sat down and thought about the year I had. I thought of what went well, what didn't work out so great and things that I could improve on. I finally had a list of goals that I'm determined to stick to and achieve throughout this year. Some of them are general and simple, whilst others are more in-depth and will take more time and hard work. Here are four of my favourite goals that I've set..
- Be more confident in art.
Last year, my art teacher said that I need to be more confident with my drawing skills. I couldn't agree more! I tend to stick with the same technique and shy away from a challenge. This year I want to be more confident and take more risks. Along with this, I'm going to challenge myself to draw more. I hate to admit this, but I haven't really drawn anything since school ended in December! It's time to get the creative juices flowing again. I want to be able to look at my pieces in the final exhibition and be proud of the art I have produced.
- Believe in myself.
This is a big one. Too often I tell myself I can't achieve things, no matter how big or small they are. This year I really want to work on this because I know that telling myself I can't do something, fills my head with negative thoughts... and that's not healthy! Instead of I can't, it's time to say I CAN!
- Cross something off my bucket list.
Last year I started a bucket list. It's currently two pages long and filled with some pretty bizarre things. I've got to start crossing it off sometime, so why not start in 2012!
- Help more people.
Towards the end of last year, I challenged myself to help at least one person out a week. From helping an elderly lady who dropped some money on the side walk, to talking to a kid at school who was sad. Knowing that you helped someone out and possibly made their day, is an unbelievable feeling. This year, I'm going to try and help at least two people a week... and who knows, I might increase that number as the year progresses.

Have a fabulous week, babes!
