When you hear a song that starts out “I know I’ve been holding it in, the way I feel about you” and continues to say “these three words, I’ve been holding back” you start to think it’s going to be a cutesy teen love song. But Avery had another reason for writing these lyrics. She decided it was time to stand up to bullies and wrote Go Screw Yourself (GSY).

Bullying is a serious matter! As we speak and read this blog people are being bullied this very moment, especially teens! I wanted to blog about this particular topic because of a song that has inspired many fans via twitter. It’s a song called “Bully” sung by Daren Kagasoff and George Murphy.

I was talking to my long distant friend today, and she was telling me the awful events that recently occured in her area, due to bullying.

Bullying is a serious issue. It is everywhere all the time. People are being bullied and affected by bullies 24/7 and you may not always see it.

You may have been teased or gossiped about and you know it’s just stupid jokes from people that don't matter. You may be thinking that it’s all exaggerated just because you may not witness it walking the halls at school. You could also be one of the millions of victims of serious bullying. Or you could even be the bully. No matter what your situation is, bullying is there. In school, at the soccer field, on the computer, pretty much everywhere.

Self esteem is about either loving or not loving yourself for who you are! Low self esteem is really common and means you don't like yourself...sometimes not at all, and sometimes only a little bit. But, if you have high self esteem you love yourself :) And that is awesome! Unfortunately, not as many girls have high self esteem as low self esteem :(

I came across this video after one of our babes posted it on Facebook. I cried. I felt sick. It has since haunted me. I felt deeply saddened. Then mad. Then confused. Then feeling as if I should do something.

Jade chose a You Tube video to express her torment. Her torment at the hands of bullies who called her names and made her feel hated, isolated and intensely sad.
